ShowingTime can assist you in scheduling live streaming (virtual) showings of your listings! With the help of a video conferencing solution such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, Facebook Live, you can offer video showings of your listing and continue servicing your seller's needs. Let your fellow agents know that a live virtual showing/live streaming showing is available for your listing by putting a check in the Live Streaming Showings Authorized field on the Additional Info tab in the Matrix listing entry form (click here for instructions). Buyer's agents can continue using ShowingTime to request an appointment as they always have. There is a little setup that you (the list agent) will have to do within your ShowingTime account to tie it all together. Use this article as your guide.
Note: this article includes a video that demonstrates how to accomplish live streaming showings using the Zoom video conferencing tool. You are certainly free to use whatever tool or app you prefer. You are responsible for working with your seller to select the desired video conferencing solution and setting up all of the logistics. Once that is done, it is a simple three step process to bring everything together within ShowingTime.
Before you begin, there is a setting within your ShowingTime profile that you should confirm is configured properly. After logging into ShowingTime, go to your profile, scroll down to the Listing Agent Preferences section and make sure the Allow Overlapping Appointments field is set to No, exclusive showings only. This will help avoid any overlap in appointments
Here is how to set up the video showing (once you have logged into ShowingTime):
1. Click on Listing Setup in the menu on the left and select the desired listing.
2. In the Access Information section, go to the How can the agent access the home field, use the drop down menu to select Other, then use the Access Notes field to specify that it is a Live Streaming Showing.
Note: if you will be using the same video conferencing tool for all of your showings (and it creates a unique, reusable conference ID for you), you can use the Mass Add Listing Note button at the top of your profile screen to embed that conference ID information and message in all of your listings at one time:
3. In the Additional Instructions field, add the showing details and the link to the video service being used. This way, the showing agent can access the link from their PC or mobile device on the day of the showing.
If the showing agent is set up within ShowingTime to receive email notifications, the link will also be accessible to them from within the showing confirmation email.
